The shop
Original Gourmet of Lahore Bakers & Sweets is a Pakistani sweet and bakery shop on Ilford Lane, in the heart of Ilford’s IG1 high street — the kind of place you drop into for a box of mithai on the way to a family do.
Alongside the sweet counter there’s a full bakery of biscuits and celebration cakes, and the savoury bits — samosas, pakoras and namkeen — for when you’re feeding a crowd.

A few minutes’ walk south of Ilford town centre and Ilford Station (Elizabeth line), with buses along the Lane. Pop in, or call ahead for a cake or hamper.
